About Us

At the heart of Musuko is the Crowther family. Sensei Simon leads the academy as Chief Instructor, alongside his eldest son Sensei Nathan Crowther who is Assistant Chief Instructor, and younger son Sensei Brandon Crowther - Head Senior Instructor.

Simon’s wife Yvonne is the Club Manager, working behind the scenes to help manage and support the academy.

Musuko teaches both traditional and sporting karate, maintaining the discipline, values and technical foundations of traditional karate while also providing opportunities for students who want to develop within competitive sport karate. This balance allows students to follow their own path, whether they train for enjoyment, fitness, confidence and personal development, wish to progress through their grades, or aspire to compete at national and international level.

Over the years, Musuko has developed students from complete beginners through to accomplished athletes representing England at major international championships. Our instructors bring extensive traditional, coaching and competitive experience to the dojo, helping each student develop their karate to the best of their individual ability.

Despite our success in competition, Musuko has always remained a family club at heart. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, supportive and disciplined environment where everyone is encouraged to learn, improve, challenge themselves and achieve their own goals.
